Shaw Danon and Baye became apprentices of Jadeon under different masters: Tian Bolis was Shaw Danon's master, while the chief of Nere was Baye's. Their teachings were very different, and Baye became more powerful than Shaw Danon.
But Shaw Danon found the Sinister Orb, and it made him strong; it was also what eventually led to Shaw Danon to abandon Jadeon.
