In the beginning, Fuxi and Nuwa created all the living things in the world. They ruled over their creations side by side, and the world prospered under their guidance.
At that time, Athan and humans lived in peace with one another. But Fuxi and Nuwa could not stay in the mortal realm forever. After they left, people began to forget the gods' teachings and fight amongst themselves. Fearing for the lives of his fellow Athan, the sage Hjan led his brethren through a portal into another world. They then closed the portal and sealed themselves in the Divine Realm, far away from humans and their wars.
Hjan recorded all the knowledge of the Athan people in a single book called the Order. After he finished it, he knew he would die soon. He also realized that if this book were to fall into the wrong hands, it would endanger the entire world. So he separated it into five fragments and distributed one to each of the five Athan tribes. The later generations called these fragments the Five Sacred
